Czeslawa Dyszynski Obituary

Czeslawa Dyszynski 4/1/1927 to 10/1/2010 Czeslawa 'Cesia' Dyszynski, beloved wife of Stanislaw 'Stanley' Dyszynski for 59 years; devoted mother of Kris, Barbara and Mary; cherished grandmother of Karl, Glen, Jill, Stefan, Christina and Joana; dear mother-in-law of Scott, Richard, and Shannon; loving sister of Zbyszek, and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her brothers Wladek and Zbyszek. Cesia was born in Nieswicze, Poland. When she was 13 years old, she and her family, along with one and a half million other Polish citizens, were deported by the Russian Army to Siberia. Cesia and her family were released 2 years later when Russia joined the Allied forces. Her brothers joined the Polish army and navy. Her mother and older sister, Halina, did not survive the poor conditions in the camp in Uzbekistan. Cesia was sent to Valivade, India where she proudly earned a teaching credential. She later moved to England where her brother Zbyszek introduced her to Stanley. In 1951 they were married, and prior to moving from England to the United States, son Kris and daughter Barbara were born to this loving couple. Cesia and Stanley ultimately moved to California where daughter Mary was born. Cesia loved to travel, garden, dance, and most of all, gather her children and grandchildren for meals and laughter. In the last ten years of her life, the resiliency and determination that helped Cesia survive the Siberian labor camp served her well as she managed her deteriorating health due to kidney and heart disease. Cesia never complained as she underwent dialysis, multiple fractures due to osteoporosis, and other ailments. She drew strength from her faith in God and her husband and family, who were devoted to her. She will be lovingly remembered as the courageous, patient and strong woman she was, and be missed so very, very much. In lieu of flowers, we ask that Cesia's memory be honored with charitable donations to the National Kidney Foundation, Lowiczanie Polish Folk Dance Ensemble of SF or to a charity of your choice. A funeral mass will be held at St. Pius Church in Redwood City on Thursday, October 7th at 10:30 AM. Friends are welcome for a visitation during the hour before mass at the church. A private burial will take place on a later date.

Dear Basia and Family
Deepest sympathy to you and the whole Dyszynski family.
Although I only met your mother briefly, I remember she was very kind hearted. My mother Maria Huszcza (nee Malaczynska), Czesia's cousin, was very upset when she heard the news.
Love from Adam & family.

To the Dysynski Family,

My thoughts and prayers are with you all. Maria and I have been close friends for many years.....dating way back (starting as fellow Kennedy Junior High band members). My love for her and her family has always been present. I too lost my mother seven years ago, and I know untraditioanlly that this is an emotional time. The mother is the matriarc, and things will never be the same. Remember always the happy memories and keep them close. Love you all in this difficult time. Jill Gisi (Machado)
