David Michael Stump

64, lost his courageous battle with cancer on Thursday, April 18, 2013, in Woodbridge, Virginia. He was the beloved husband of Cynthia and the loving father of John and David. He served in the U.S. Navy from February 1968 to October 1971. He received his Associates Degree from College of Marin in 1974 and his Bachelor in Management in 1977 from Sonoma State University. He joined the Department of the Navy, Military Sealift Command, at the Oakland Navy Yard in California in 1977 and retired from the Command at the Washington Navy Yard in the District of Columbia in 2004. He was an avid bowler and NASCAR fan. He also enjoyed motorcycling. He is survived by his wife and sons and his brother, Dick, of Santa Rosa, California. He will be sorely missed by those he leaves behind and gladly greeted by those who have gone before him.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, April 23, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and a service will be on Wednesday, April 24, at 2 p.m. at Mountcastle and Turch Funeral Home, 13318 Occoquan Road, Woodbridge, VA. A reception will be held at Bowl America Woodbridge, 13409 Occoquan Road, Woodbridge, after the funeral.
