Dear Norma: As I sit here I think about all of the wonderful times you and Ed shared with my Mom. All the laughs, the parties and just being such good friends. Let's remember the great East/West Football Games too! You and the girls are in my thoughts and prayers. I'm sure my Mom is serving Ed a hamburger and fries right now.
With my love, Nina Fenell (Santa Rosa, CA)

Though I only met Ed a couple of times, I felt that I knew him well through his daughter Laura. I knew of his love of card playing with his grandaughters and heard about his golf games with Paul DeNatale. I know he must have been proud that Laura shared his passion for dentistry, fed no doubt from the times she spent at his dental lab as a child. Thank you for helping us get to know a very special man. I know you will miss him very much.

My parents knew Ed Maita years ago. Ed met my parents when they owned a store in Daly City. They quickly figured out they had other connections through Lodge. My grandfather and Mr. Maita were members of the same Masonic lodge, which had been two lodges that merged. As a girl I was introduced to Mr. Maita, and he was a regular at my parents store. They spoke of him fondly and enjoyed his visits. We were invited to attend a dinner at the lodge and we also attended Mr. Maita's installation. I remember most that my parents really liked Ed, and I know they would want to acknowledge his passing, if they were here. I send my prayers & sympathies to the Maita family.
