Mrs. Taylor was my 5th and 6th grade teacher at North Shoreview School. She was the best and most caring teacher I ever had. I appreciate everything she taught me.

Mrs. Taylor was my 4th grade teacher, in 1966. Providentially, I went looking for her on the web, and found the obituary. I am very saddened. My condolences to Paul and Laurie and their children.

It has been many years since I have had contact with you, however, I still remember what a strong and true person your Mother was, She definitely left a large and positive impact on many lives

Thank you Evelyn for being a mentor to me, for teaching me that the basic needs of children need to be met first before you can teach them. They need food, clothing, shelter and love. You taught me to have passion in what I do each day in the classroom and in my life. You never expected anything from any one that you would not do yourself, you gave unconditionally and showed me there are many rewards in all the efforts we do each day, you inspired me to do my best and believe in myself..you gave me so many wonderful gifts. I will truly miss you! Your work will continue in all the lives you touched. Thank you.

Laurie, Paul and Paul, Jr.,
How sorry I was to hear of your loss. My prayers are with all of you during this time.
Mrs. Taylor was so dedicated to whatever school she was serving, but she was extremely dedicated to the students. I would watch her in the early morning hours at Turnbull Learning Academy, making sure that all children were greeted as they arrived with a cheerful; "Good Morning and how are you this morning?" sometimes followed by "Johnny, aren't you cold this morning, where is your jacket?"
She made certain that the children retrieve a jacket from the lost and found if they arrived without one. I watched as she prepared soup in a crock pot for children who arrived in her office hungry.
I can say that her heart was one of the purest that I have ever seen and I thank God that I was allowed to know her.
Sincerely,
Deborah Wilder

Evelyn had a HUGE heart. She will live on in the memories of the many she helped. When my dad died, she was principal at Audubon, where my mom worked. She personally went to my mom's house to check on her and offer her love and support to get back to work. I will always be grateful for that. I know she did a million kind and generous acts through out her life. She was an exceptional human being.

I am so sorry for your loss. She was such a special woman. She was a light in my life and in the lives of my children. She was our principle, friend and angel. She always had her door open for you as a parent and a hug and kind words for the kids. She will be in our hearts forever and never forgotten...
