I remember Flav from her work at Howard Area Community Center in Chicago. As mentioned elsewhere, she was always stylish and full of life. She was also a Chicago Bears fan and had plenty of Bears regalia. Thanks, Flav , for your small, unexpected gifts when I needed them and for the rides to pick up my daughter from school! You will be missed!

Flavia Augustine is one of my favorite people. She had spunk, loved a good argument and made sure her students became the best they could be. I had the privilege of working close with her as the campus nurse at Duchesne and later during her serious illness in Omaha became a close confidante. She always had hope. May she rest in peace.

I remember Mother Augustine from the Humanities classes at Duchesne College. She was an awesome educator. I know she will have a special place in heaven.

I have such wonderful memories of Barat
(1960 to 1964) and Mother Augustine. It was a privilege to have been taught by her.
Sincerely, Fran Lizzo Salvi

Sister Augustine was a wonderful person and an excellent teacher. I knew her well when I was a student at Barat from 1967-1971. She embodied what was and is best about Sacred Heart education. I will continue to remember her fondly along with Sisters Anne Madden, Marguerite Green, Dean Traynor, Charlotte Dames, Margaret Burke, Claire Basar, Geraldine Murphy, Mary Henry, and Betty Boyter. God bless them all!
