Fred Amatori Of South San Francisco joined his wife Dolores in rest on Tuesday January 16th 2013. Fred, age 92, was born in Cohose, New York on February 4th, 1920 to Alfred and Ana Amatori. He left New York to join the CCC's when he was16. He served in the US Army during WWII, Stationed in Monterey CA with the Coastal Artillery. Fred always pointed out that Monterey was never attacked while he was on duty. Fred married his wife of 56 years Ana Dolores on December 9th,1946 in San Francisco. Dolores passed in August of 2002. He is survived by his son Michael, who cared for Fred in his final years. Fred's life was filled with the love of his family and his many Friends. Fred enjoyed, Golf, Poker and Pedro, a good horse race,Tiger and Red the neighborhood Cats, and a weekly bowl of Polenta at his favorite restaurant La Collina. He is also Survived by many nieces and nephews. Funeral arrangements will be private.
