Gabrielle Kelly Olson

3/9/1952 - 9/18/2013

Gabrielle Kelly Olson passed away peacefully at home on September 18th, 2013 with her husband Ed by her side.

Gabrielle Francis Kelly was born in 1952 in Dublin Ireland. At the age of 25, Gaye moved to and fell in love with California. She was instrumental in the creation and opening of the Brazen Head restaurant in San Francisco, fashioning it after the pub in Dublin. Gabrielle also worked at Liverpool Lil's, where she worked with Ed, the love of her life, in 1987.

Gaye loved classical music, playing the piano when no one was around, baking brown bread and playing the slots. She and Ed lived in the Marina for the past 25 years and Gabrielle had countless friends in countless places. Once she met you, she would remember you always, and you would remember the twinkle in her eyes. When you counted your friends, you counted Gaye twice.

Gaye is survived by her loving husband Ed, her sister Veronica O'Hara (Paul), brother Brian, along with nieces Julie and Jane and their families. She is preceded in death by her sister Anne, mother Peggy and father, Bernard.

A celebration of Gaye's life will be held at the end of October.
