Gail Mary Galligan

Gail Mary Galligan 12/13/29 - 9/5/10 Resident of San Mateo, CA Gail peacefully passed away with family at his side at the age of 80 years after a short illness. She was born in Modesto, California and attended St Matthews Catholic Grammar School in San Mateo, CA and Notre Dame High School in Belmont., CA. Her class at Notre Dame included Mary Catherine Galligan (Keke Kane) where she met Keke's brother Joseph A Galligan, the love of her life. They were married for more than 62 years and Joe passed away 50 days before her. Was the proud mother of eight children namely Michael, Timothy (Pam), Patrick, Marie (Phil) Evans, Joe (Helen), Judy (Jonathan) Chong, Maureen (Bill) James and David (Gloria). Proud grandma to 23 grandchildren. Sister-in-law to Mary Catherine Kane and Anne (George) Edel. Uncle to 9 nieces and nephews. She was a former member of Green Hills Country Club of which she was a member for over 35 years. Her passions were golfing playing bridge and traveling. She traveled the world with her husband and family taking over 24 cruises and many other land tours. She loved cruising and visiting Mazatlan. She loved spending time with her family. She lived her life with strong morals, wonderful spirit, sense of humor, friendliness and a deep faith and love of the Lord. She will be deeply missed by her family and his friends. The family would like to thank all of the wonderful staff and caretakers at the Stratford that took care of her in her final days. The family asks that all donations in Gail's memory be directed to the Joseph A. & Gail M. Galligan's Children's Legal Services Fund, Legal Aid Society, 521 E. 5th Avenue, San Mateo, CA. Services have been held.
