George Bottest Obituary

George Richard Bottest was born in 1925 at St. Lukes Hospital, in San Francisco where he lived until the last nine years of his life. He died September 14, 2010, in Maryland of complications from a stroke. He was 85. He attended the Immaculate Conception Academy, St. James Grammar School, and St. Ignatius High School, class of 1943. He retired from the Public Works Department of the City and County of San Francisco in 1986. He is survived by his first cousin, Henry Malcolm Steiner, by his second cousins Maria Cecelia Smith, Jessie Aileen Steiner, and Henry Anthony Steiner and their children of Bethesda, Maryland. He will be greatly missed by all who knew his kind and gracious character. Burial will be at Holy Cross Colma Cemetery on November 26, 2010 at 2 p.m. at a graveside service. Remembrances may be donated in his name to St. Ignatius College Preparatory.
