Greg Starkman Obituary

Greg Starkman Passed away October 21, 2010, at his home in Lopez, Washington He was 64. Greg is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Selma (Fortner) Starkman, and their son, Jesse Ernest Starkman. He also leaves behind his loving sisters, Susan (Robert) Bigham and Pat Starkman, a niece and three nephews. Greg was born in Oakland, California, in 1946. He grew up in nearby Orinda, and was a 1963 graduate of Miramonte High School. He settled in the San Juan Islands in Washington State. It was there that he built his home, married and raised a family. He was a gifted cabinetmaker, a craft he learned from his father. Greg was an avid fisherman and golfer, and had a love for the great outdoors. Greg was a devoted husband, father, brother and uncle, who passed through this life much too quickly. He was much loved and will be greatly missed by all those whose lives he touched. Services were private.
