Henry Nicolini died peacefully on Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at the age of 84. He was born in Oakland to Ernesto and Elvira Nicolini. He graduated from Oakland Technical High School and received a Master's Degree in History from San Francisco State University. Henry served in the Army for two years during World War II. He worked for the Hayward Unified School District for 30 years and retired in 1990 as Assistant Superintendent. Henry loved sports, particularly playing tennis and golf, and coaching CYO basketball at
St. Pascal's Parish. Henry is survived by his wife of 60 years, Barbara, his 6 children, Susan, Lisa, Dianne, John, Maura and Patrick, and 12 grandchildren; Ryan, Duncan and Nicholas Saylor, Thomas and Monica Hanson, Sarah and Amy Ingram, Tyler, Emily and Evan Sverak, and John and Declan Nicolini. Visitation is available on Sunday, May 19, 2013 from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the
Santos-Robinson Mortuary 160 Estudillo Ave. San Leandro. A Mass of the Resurrection will be held Monday, May 20, 2013 at 10:30 A.M. at Church of the Assumption 1100 Fulton Ave. San Leandro. Internment will be Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at 10:00 A.M. at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Hayward. In lieu of flowers, please donate in Henry's name to
