I am one the the many people thankful to have witnessed the beautiful relationship that you have all shared as a family. Hank had a delightful sense of humor and a kindness that could not be masked by his occasional gruff persona. I have often imagined that much love and joy has been a part of your lives for all these years. LaVerne, you have witnessed the events of Hanks life for so many years I know you carry a special gift with you. I can only imagine the contribution you have made to his life all of these years, particularly these last few. Bless you all, it has been my pleasure to know you. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Pengel family. I always enjoyed talking to Mr. Pengel when I would be at the house playing with Matt. His booming voice could always be heard rooting for the St.Cecilias teams when his kids played. Always have good thoughts and memories of your husband and dad.

Hanko was the greatest second father, I can not thank him enough. From the cruise to mexico to the trip to the grand canyon, and all the softball tournaments he and Vernie came to cheer us on! You have giving so much of your strength and guidance, you really are a true Hero! I will never forgot you, I LOVE YOU & MISS YOU VERY MUCH!!!
