My wife, Debbie and I were deeply touched to hear of Herb's passing. We were made aware of this by Lynne Shafsky, one of my hygienists who worked for me before I retired, and where Herb came to have his dental care. Herb was one of the very nicest, gentle people I ever knew, not only as an excellent patient, but as a dear friend who also loved aviation as so many of his friends did. In all the years we were friends, I never heard Herb say anything bad about anyone.....always a kind guy. We know that he will be very much missed by family and friends.

Herb and I worked many, many years on the development issues of the San Carlos Airport and surrounding communities. He worked to keep the airport growing to meet aviation needs of the future and many of his efforts can be seen today. I too was an original San Carlos Airport Pilot Associations formation member. Herb also did a bio on me for my aviation activities which was much appreciated. Many thanks to Herb and his family for for the great accomplishments for aviation in our County!

I will miss Herb greatly. He was a wonderful dental patient and was the kindest man when I took over Dr Vinci's dental practice in 1997. I have so many fond memories of this incredible man. We have talked for so many hours the past few decades. He was one of a kind and will be never forgotten.
