Jerome Hatton Clark passed away on Tuesday, June 4th at age 82. His generosity, quick wit and loving spirit will be missed by all who knew him. Jerome was born in New York and grew up in Darien CT . He attended Darien High School and graduated in 1948. He earned his undergraduate degree in mathematics from Amherst College in Massachusetts graduating Magna cum lade in 1952. While there he founded an a cappella group called the Zumbyes which is still going strong today. He went on to business school at Harvard where he was named Baker Scholar, the highest scholastic honor awarded by Harvard Business School. Jerome served his country in the United States Navy. In 1960, he married Janet Kirby and in 1968 he moved his family to California. He was a successful business man. He enjoyed golf, reading and his grandchildren. He is survived by his children Tim (Melaney) of Orinda, Tracy (Cameron) of Austin, and Ginger (Bob) of Sacramento, and his grandchildren Ryan, Jeff, Jacqueline, Grace, Natalie, Nathan, John, Walter and Allyson. He is predeceased by his beloved wife Janet, brother Harry and parents Harold and Lillian.
A funeral service will be held on Monday June 10th at 10 am at Santa Maria Church in Orinda.
