Richard Jess Whipple Entered into rest suddenly and unexpectedly on May 12, 2013, at the age of 49 at his home in Windsor. Born on September 20, 1962, in San Francisco, California. Loving husband of Kathleen O'Malley Whipple and adored father of Michael and Michelle Whipple; beloved son of Lola Whipple and the late Calvin Whipple; dear brother of Lizabeth (Gary) Rogers, Kevin (Candy) Whipple, Kathy (Scott) Daly and the late Michael Whipple; survived by many nieces and nephews and blessed to have numerous kind and caring friends and neighbors. Jess was a devoted family man who loved spending time at the lake, riding with his son on motorcycle trails, and spending time in his yard barbecuing for friends and family. He was always ready to lend a hand to anyone who needed his help and truly always saw the glass as being half full. He loved the family's annual summer trip to Lake Tahoe and spending weekends boating and jet-skiing at Lake Sonoma or Lake Berryessa with his dear friends, Kevin and Tina Clayton. He was a Pacifica native, graduate of Oceana High School and San Francisco State University, faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and employed for the last 20 years by the Western Association for Schools and Colleges. He cheerfully endured his commute to Burlingame from Windsor because he often said, ¿I really like the people I work with.¿ Jess has left a tremendous void in many lives that will not soon be filled. He was truly a man of great faith and an exceptional husband, father and friend. Burial services will be private, but family and friends are invited to celebrate Jess' life on Saturday, May 26, 2012, at 1:00 p.m., at The Spinnaker Restaurant, 100 Spinnaker Drive, Sausalito, California.
