Dad, 13 years later, you are remembered daily by the lessons you taught and showed us. You and mom have 6 great grandchildren now, all are learning of your kind and loving ways. So much of your native city has changed but I am still hanging on as it is our “home “. Your and mom’s generosity and hard working values live within my family. I miss you so much. Jill

In 1967, while I was a student at Marina Junior High, Supervisor Ertola was there to give a speech. He also offered me a few tips on public speaking. I never forgot Mr. Ertola's kind words of encouragement and his fatherly pat on my shoulder. He made a difference in many people's lives. Condolences to the Ertola family. I am grateful to have crossed his path.

Judge Jack Ertola was the presiding judge of the Probate Court, San Francisco Superior Court in the early 1980s. I had the pleasure of working with him. His compassion for people in distress was remarkable. He administered justice with a human touch and perspective.

While growing up in "the City", I had the pleasure of residing next door to this great San Francisco family for many years. Jack may have passed on, but I assure all that he will still be somehow looking out for San Francisco---till the end of time. A truely great man, may God bless him.
