I didn't know John, but he made an impression on lots of people, judging by the comments I've read. God bless the Landers family. I know a little about Ballylanders and it's castle in Ireland if anyone is interested.

I am so saddened of this news. My heart has ached all day long, and I cannot imagine the tremendous loss Pat's family must be dealing with. He was a kind, sweet and generous man - and he will be very, very missed by all. Christine, Aiden and Ty, may your heart be filled with love and happy memories.

My deepest sympathy and condolences to all of you on the passing of Patrick. I consider myself fortunate to have met him through baseball and will remember his joyous approach to life. May God Bless all of you as you grieve and begin to cope with his loss. Patrick must've been a real battler trying to overcome his illness.

I only met Patrick a few times through a mutual friend, but what a friendly person with such a large presence and positive personality. One of those people who instantly made you feel like you were in on a hilarious joke.
I was so sorry to hear of his passing today. I know he will not be easily forgotten.

Pat was a great guy. I knew him at Hamilton College as an outstanding friend, fraternity brother and teammate. Pat and his family and friends are in my thoughts and prayers. I hope to carry the memory of this special man with me for many years.

Pat & I attended Hamilton College and pledge Chi Psi together. To know Pat is to know his smile... he had an infectious grin, both friendly and mischievous. He will be truly missed and my thoughts & prayers go out to family.

Landers Family - I am so sorry to hear about Patrick's passing. I was a couple years older than Patrick at Hamilton and I vividly remember Patrick as a truly genuine, friendly and positive person; such fun to be around. His smile and sense of humor impacted all of us at Chi Psi. He was a true gentleman.

Pat was my fraternity brother and friend. We pledged Chi Psi together and took many classes together. He was a riot all the time.He loved to make people laugh and always seemed to find the joy in any situation. He was beloved by all of the brothers in Chi Psi. After college, several of us traveled to the 1996 Olympics. We had the worst tickets you could buy but still managed to make it a once in a lifetime experience that I will never forget. He was truly one in a million and I will miss him. Thank you for being a part of my life Pat.

After Pat taught me a lesson on the rugby field, he invited me to a social at his fraternity, my first. By virtue of this one simple act - him kindly extending a hand - I joined Chi Psi and made lifelong friends. What a great man.

I had the pleasure of getting to know Patrick in 1998 when I worked in groups for the A's and he was starting out with the Giants. His loyal friendship will be missed. Although I didn't know him as well as others it was very easy to see what a great family man and person he was. His personality and attitude was so great......we need more people in this world like him.

My name is Margie Ward. Most of my life I have been known as "Miss Margie". I taught Patrick so many years ago. When I read about the passing of Patrick yesterday, I was so sad for your family. To me, Patrick will always be a darling, precious, smiling (from ear to ear),and energetic little boy. He was a bright star that I remember very well. Reading about his life, I can see that he continued to "light the lives" of so many more.

Patrick was a friend to you immediately, he had a huge heart and smile that could light up the room. I will miss him and know that those near and dear to him will feel the emptiness for a long time. The good thing is we got to know such a great person that always had time for everyone! RIP Patrick and know how much you were loved. Dear Christine, Ty and Aidan, I am so incredibly sorry to hear of your loss, but am not surprised to read of Patrick's courageous fight. Valley of the Moon Little League will be forever thankful for his help with our Little League Day Events. KC, Freddie and I will be forever thankful for his accommodations for us at Giants games. my deepest sympathies to his family. I was blessed by being able to assist taking care of him only one day out of his year long fight. He held such courage and tried so hard to help us when we were trying to help him--it gave me an insight into his personality and character that I shall never forget.

My deepest condolence for Patricks beloved family. You are in my heart and prayers at this most difficult time. Even though I only met Patrick a few times, he touched me for his humor and kindness. I am so glad that he was a good Friend to my daughter Alyze, I know she loved him and his sweet wife and two adorable little boys so much. RIP dear Patrick. You will be missed.
