John Oliver Obituary

John Connor Oliver Aug. 11, 1927 - Dec. 7, 2010 John was a fourth generation San Franciscan, and a descendant of the Peralta family who came to California with the de Anza Expedition (1776). John was a long time resident of Berkeley. He is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Emelda, and his children: Megan, Kate, Connor, Michael, Jose, and Maria. He was predeceased by his son Patrick. John will be lovingly remembered by his 12 grandchildren and his great grandson. John was know for his generous spirit and his love of nature. Though the world will miss a truly kind man, he will live on in our hearts forever. There will be a memorial Mass at Newman Hall in Berkeley at 3:00 pm on Friday, December 17, 2010.
