John F. Rossi John Frank Rossi passed away on February 9, 2013 at age 93. He was born in the beautiful hills of Reppia, Italy where he tended sheep and collected chestnuts. As a youth he came to America and settled in North Beach with his family including his late siblings, Tony, Paula, Louisa and Dino. He was a devoted husband to Florence Gulli Rossi for 66 years until her death last March. A dedicated and caring teacher in Walnut Creek for 27 years, he shared his love and wonder of nature with his students. His kind and gentle nature touched the lives of many. He is survived by his daughter, Graciella Rossi, son-in law, Richard Spittler, his grandchildren, Elena and Wesley Spittler and many nieces and nephews. A mass will be held Saturday, Feb. 16 at 10:30 am at Saints Peter and Paul Church, SF.
