Juanita Brown Obituary

Juanita Brown Beloved sister, mother and grandmother, died Nov. 4, 2010 in San Francisco, California of Cancer at the young age of 83. Juanita was born Feb. 17, 1927, in San Francisco to William and Lillian Zietzke. She attended George Washington High School in San Francisco, before she married and raised a family. She was proceeded in death by her husband, Douglas, of 55 years; her daughter, Sandra Newmount of San Francisco; and, her two sisters: Wilma Carothers-McDermitt, of Oregon, and Eileen Collins-Murray, of Sonoma. She leaves behind many loving friends and relatives including a brother, William (Bill) and wife, Ruth, of Santa Maria; her devoted friend and love for life, Dudley Truelsen of San Bruno; her daughter, Bonnie, and husband Jack Hattaway, of Fayetteville, NC; her son, Douglas, and wife, Socorra Brown, of Volcano, CA; 5 beautiful grandchildren: Juanita, Max, Doug, Jason, and Renee; 11 great grandchildren; and many loving cousins. She will be greatly missed. Juanita's enjoyments in life were: her family, sewing, knitting, and crocheting for the family. At her request, there will be no services. "and the dust returns to the earth as it was, and the spirit returns to God who gave it." Ecclesiastes 12:7.
