Thanks Kari for sharing your life with me at CIL. You believed in me and supported my work. You made it happen. I have your picture on my desk and each time I look at you, I break into a "big" smile. You did good, girl. You will always have a place in my heart Kari. You are simply divine.

In the short time we knew her, Kari made an enormous contribution to WORLD.
She was quite simply, the best financial expert to serve in the role of a non-profit Treasurer I have ever worked with.
Kari had the unique ability to critique and educate in a way that enhanced your knowledge without diminishing your confidence.
I always felt supported and empowered after spending time with her.
A shining example was when she ended a particularly challenge meeting where the numbers just did not make sense, by handing me a check for a generous contribution. She then pledged to give more.
It was her way of saying she believed in our mission and that she had faith in my leadership to get WORLD through the hard times.
She will be deeply missed.

Kari's contributions to CIL were extraordinary. She often provided the stable core that helped CIL through its financial and developmental challenges. She was brilliant and steadfast in her accounting work for CIL and many other nonprofits. I will always remember the work she did for Jobs for Homeless Consortium. My heartfelt condolences to her work family and her home family. I will miss her.

The world is so much less at her loss. I felt so honored to have worked with Kari for a few short years -- she was both fair and fierce, one of the most compassionate/passionate humans I've had the chance to know. May she dance forever.

Kari was CIL's linchpin for decades, and she was such a good person -- compassionate, smart, straightforward, hardworking. I always knew that I liked and respected her, but I guess I didn't realize just how much she meant to me until she passed. I will miss her, as will many. Peace and rest to you, Kari...you will be sorely missed for a long time.

Rest in Peace gentle spirit...I remember when the doors were locked by the IRS and how you worked behind the scenes to get them open and put CIL back into operation with only a hiccup.
