Kathleen E. August 98, died on Nov. 7 at Spring Hill Manor in Grass Valley, California. She was born in San Francisco on July 9, 1912. As an infant, she became an orphan, along with her sister Aida and brothers: Bud, Bill, George and Harry. The Lyons children were raised by their aunt, Elizabeth B. Goodman of San Leandro. In 1941, Kelly married Clement August who worked at the Oakland Tribune for 41 years and died in 1966. She played the church organ, enjoyed square dancing, reading and writing. Her family includes her son, Paul August, and daughter Patricia (August) Trimble, and grandchildren: Brian Trimble, Wendi, John and Kristi August and great granddaughter Chynna. Her niece is Beryl Vonderheid and her nephew is Jay Blair Whited. Muriel August is her daughter-in-law. Her son-in-law is Tom Trimble. No services. Picture Kelly with her cheerful smile, jaunty tam, sparkling Irish eyes and jolly attitude: "Tally ho!" She exits this stage with her favorite piano tune: "What'll I Do?"
