She was a devoted Mother to Marilyn (Donna), proud Grandmother to Jason Ferrario (Kimberly) and adoring Great Grandmother to Taylor, Riley, Ty and Ava. She is survived by her sister Agnes. Kathryn was a proud third generation Californian. Born and raised in the Fairfield community, she left for San Francisco to obtain her Nursing Degree from St. Mary's Nursing School. She remained in San Francisco to raise her children and worked for Dr. W. Weiner, MD and St. Mary's Hospital where her favorite patients were San Francisco Giants and San Francisco Forty-Niners. Later in her career, she returned to Fairfield to work and retire working for the Solano Public Health Department. For the last six years she lived with her daughter in Redwood City which also gave her the opportunity to be close to her great grandchildren who brought her so much joy and laughter. She did weekly volunteer work at the Redwood City Senior Citizen's Center and enjoyed spending time with her friends at the Monday afternoon Craft Club. She kept herself busy with crocheting and other craft projects. She remained an active member and was a prior officer of the Native Daughters of California, West Wind Parlor in Fairfield. She will be missed by her family and friends. Her nieces and nephews knew her as Auntie Cake since she made their beautiful birthday cakes. As a loyal San Francisco Giant Fan since the team's arrival in 1958, her last days were spent watching her team win the World Series. Donations in her memory can be made to the Northern California Girl Scout Council or to the Shiner's Childrens Hospital Foundation.
