Lino "Bob" Borghello

On February 17, 2014, surrounded by his loving family, Bob passed away peacefully to reunite with the love of his life and soul mate Lillian. He was born in San Francisco on June 8, 1927 to Innocente and Dolinda.  Bob married Lill in 1953 and spent the rest of his life in Daly City creating his legacy.  


Bob was the cherished and selfless father to Jeff Borghello, Debby Casazza, Nancy Larcher and Gary Borghello.  Loving father-in-law to Sue, Al, Kurt and Julie.  Devoted Nono to Mark (Kelly), Angie (Tony), Matt (Tracy), Jen (Tad), Tim (Diana), Kelly (Matt), Kristen, Sabrina, Lisa, Kaitlyn, Laura, Melissa, Lauren, Kylie, and Zachary.  Proud Big Nono to Kaylee, Mason, Maddox, Brooklyn, Alexis, Luke and another on the way.  Brother-in-law to Nora Borghello; loving cousin and uncle to many both here and in Italy.  Bob was also preceded in death by his, siblings Eugene, Eva, Camillo, and Eddie; and in-laws Felix and Maria Borrone.


Bob was a retiree of Sunset Scavengers and a member of The Verdi Club, Marino Pieretti, Baseball Old Timers, The Mission High Gang, and Retired Firemans Club; he was also a friend to many.  He will be remembered for his beautiful smile, sense of humor, kindness, loyalty to family and love for life. 


Friends may visit at Duggan's Serra Mortuary, 500 Westlake Ave. Daly City from 4:00 on Sunday, Feb.23; the Rosary Vigil will follow at 7:00. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Feb. 24 at 11:00 at Our Lady of Mercy Church, 1 Elmwood Dr. Daly City. The Burial will follow at the Italian Cemetery, 504 F St. Colma.


In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to or Autism Empowerment.
