LOIS CLAUSEN, A SPECIAL KIND
People are of two kinds
And she was the kind I'd like to be.
Some preach their virtues, and a few express their lives by what they do;
That sort was she.
No flowery phrase or glibly spoken words of praise won friends for her.
She wasn't cheap or shallow,
But her course ran deep and it was pure.
You know the kind.
Not many in your life you find
Whose deeds outrun their words so far
That more than what they seem they are.
You are now "Free".

It was a pleasure finally knowing Lois. I know I saw her as a teen growing up in the City as I was on the junior bowling leagues that were held at her fathers (Bill;s) bowling alley on 6th and Clement. All the kids idolized Bill and his big hook-ball and probably Lois was there watching. Now finally meeting at SCLH was not bowling, but Poker and various dinners we shared over the past years.
To her children, I'm gald I was able to know your mother/grandmother and also your grandfather.
