Madeline Green (Grab) passed away peacefully on April 26th. Madeline was the loving mother of her daughter Nancy and son-in-law William Magdoff of Moraga, CA and twin sons Bruce Green and daughter-in-law Cindy of Amherst, NH and Roy Green and daughter-in-law Nancy of San Bruno. She was blessed with seven wonderful grandsons; Gregory and Daniel Magdoff of Moraga, Joseph, Michael and Christopher Green of San Bruno and Tyler and Evan Green of Amherst, NH. Madeline was born on December 22, 1923. She was raised in New Rochelle, NY where she attended New Rochelle School of Nursing. After graduation she began a rewarding nursing career that brought her to San Francisco. She worked for 37 years as a RN at San Francisco's U.S. Marine Hospital and at Burlingame's Peninsula Hospital. Madeline enjoyed actively participating in her church, traveling, sewing, knitting, gardening and spending time with her family and friends. She especially enjoyed her yearly fall visits to New England to visit family and friends. Shortly after arriving in San Francisco she met Joseph Charles Green. They married and made their way to San Bruno to raise their family. Madeline was a 58-year resident of San Bruno. She was always proud of her friendships, faith and to have been a 58 year active member of Millbrae's Calvary Lutheran Church.
A service to celebrate and honor Madeline's life will be held at Calvary Lutheran Church on June 8, 2013 at 11a.m. In lieu of flowers, a donation in her name to: Calvary Lutheran Church, 401 Santa Lucia Ave, Millbrae, CA 94030 would be appreciated.
