Manuela Rocha Obituary

Manuela "Nela" Álvarez Rocha November 9, 1919 - March 6, 2009 Manuela, 89, passed away surrounded by her family. "Nela" was born in the Philippines and lived in the Bay Area in her later years. Nela was preceded in death by her husband, Jose "Pepe" Rocha; and son, Bee. A devoted mother and grandmother, Nela is survived by her sister, Benigna; children Way, Zandra, Rebecca and Josie; grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many other relatives. Viewing: Tuesday, March 10, at 4:30 p.m. Funeral: Wednesday, March 11, at 10:00 a.m. Both services will be held at Chapel of the Chimes, 32992 Mission Blvd., Hayward, CA (510) 471-3363.
