Marquesa "Mamita" Talavera de Lugo died on Jan. 6th, 2017 surrounded by her loving family at the age of 97. Marquesa was was born in Nicaragua on Oct. 7th, 1919 to the late Francisca and Hinosencio Talavera and a resident of San Francisco for 60 years. She was the wife of the late Luis Guillermo Lugo Talavera; loving mother of: Silvio Jose Lugo, Luis Guillermo Lugo Jr., and Jose Rogelio Lugo; cherished grandmother of: Ana Patricia, Silvio Alberto, Ruben, Nichelle Roger, Marta, Maritza, Tania; caring sister to: Maria Adelida T. Conchita C., Alejandro T; proud great-grandmother of: Katrina, Robert, Lizette, Vinny, Mikey and Baby Lugo Coombs; cherished great-great-grandmother to Jeffrey and Jeremiah.
Friends may visit on Tue. Jan. 10th from 3pm-9pm at DRISCOLL'S VALENCIA ST. SERRA MORTUARY, 1465 VALENCIA ST., SF, CA. where a Vigil will be held at 7pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wed. Jan. 11th at 10am at St. Anthony de Padua Church, 3215 Cesar Chavez St, SF. Burial to follow at Cypress Lawn Memorial Park, Colma, CA.
