Mary "Molly" O'Neill Huckins born in McCarthy, Alaska; Molly made the ten mile trip from the hospital to her parents' home in Kennicott by dog sled. She worked for United Airlines in Seattle and then helped open their downtown San Francisco office in the 1940s. Molly married J. Vance Huckins, a San Francisco hotelier, in 1948, raising her two boys, dogs, chickens and rabbits from a pent house apartment overlooking Union Square.
Molly was a giving volunteer at St. Luke's Hospital in San Francisco and later received her 30 year service award at Stanford Hospital, Palo Alto.
Survived by her sons Brian Vance Huckins of Atherton, CA; Clay Leon Huckins of Lake Havasu City, Az. and granddaughter Vanessa Huckins of Petaluma, CA.
At her request, no services will be held.
Memorial contributions preferred to the Stanford University Medical Center Auxiliary.
