Mary Lazzara Obituary

Mary Lazzara Died peacefully at her home on November 3, 2010 at the age of 95. Born January 22, 1915 to Rosario and Maria Rosa Iaci in Adore, Region of Calabria, Italy. She was preceded in death by her long time soulmate, cousin Mickey Iaci. Loving sister of the late Loretta Laughlin (Jack), the late Peter Iaci (Kitty), the late Dr. Vincent Spano (Ginny) and the late Joseph Spano (Jean). Loving Aunt of Cathy Bones (Doug), Joe Spano (Joan), Steve Spano (Margaret), Michael Spano (Margie), Matt Spano (Margie), and Chris Spano (Lisa), the late Vince Crisafi, Gloria Iaci (Jeff), Claudia Rosum (Charles) amd Barry Iaci. Cousin to Patty Iaci (Frieda), the late Josie Iaci (Loretta), Cecil Iaci (Mary), Rose Dalfo (Fredo) and Frank Iaci. Great aunt to many nieces and nephews in the SF Bay Area, Detroit, MI and Vancouver, Canada. North Beach resident for 40 years. 35 year Koret employee. She will be remembered for her warm smile, fabulous Italian cooking, and gracious welcoming of everyone into her home. Friends and family may attend the vigil service on Thursday, November 4 @ 6:30pm and the funeral mass on Friday, November 5, 10:30am both at Our Lady of Mercy Church, 1 Elmwood, Daly City. Committal at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations preferred to Hospice By the Bay, 1902 Van Ness Ave, 2nd Floor, San Francisco, CA 94109.
