What a legacy Babes left behind for her family and for all to read in her book Give Terry A Bone. I just finished reading it. My father was born in Zwolle, Netherlands and escaped during the war at age 16. He eventually ended up in the U.S. learning how to fly planes with the Royal Dutch Airforce. After the war he returned to Holland, to see his beloved country and his family. But, he chose to make the U.S. his home and this is where I was born. I felt a very strong connection to my roots while I read Babes book; often through many tears. I really never knew the realities of what the Dutch endured while under the Nazi occupation until I read her book. God bless her for her bravery and sacrifice to her countrymen and women. And God bless her for sharing her story. And God bless her for being so kind to animals. May her heirs be blessed as well and never forget her legacy.

She was another Anne Frank. She vividly described what it was like surviving Nazi occupation. It is too bad her book isn't as widely read as Anne Frank's diary.
