Michael Runfola Born July 5, 1988 in Berkeley, California, passed away Friday December 28, 2012 after celebrating Christmas at home.
Michael passed away after a very brief and pain-free battle with pneumonia surrounded by family and friends.
Although Michael's life lasted less than 25 years it was filled with love, laughter and travel. The courage, humor and love he possessed was contagious and affected all those who came into contact with him.
A graduate of Redwood High School in Larkspur, California, Michael enjoyed music, sporting events, camping, skiing, bowling and trips to Disneyland. He won gold and silver medals at the Special Olympics and regularly attended Bridge School concerts and their summer camp in the Santa Cruz Mountains.
Michael is survived by his father, John Michael Runfola, his mother, Danni Runfola (nee Evorik), his sister, Danielle Melin (nee Runfola) and his beloved grandmother, Isabella Runfola, as well as a large extended family and hundreds of friends.
Michael's spirit and memory will never leave any of us.
