Michael Russell Obituary

Michael Russell Died at home on November 29th at age 57, of a brain tumor. He is survived by his wife Kate Fletcher of Berkeley and by his parents Bill and Barbara Russell, brothers Steve (Robin) and Chris (Theresa), sister Kate Russell, nephews Jeffrey, Ian, and Adam, and niece Laura, all of southern California. He retired from the West Contra Costa Unified School District, where he worked at Bayview Elementary for fifteen years as a Special Education Resource Specialist. He enjoyed music of many kinds, and had especially happy memories of the music and fellow music-makers at Sweet's Mill and Lark in the Morning music camps. The family wishes to honor his request that no services be held. Donations in his honor can be made to the East Bay SPCA or the charity of your choice.
