Michael Weinmann Obituary

Michael Jon Weinmann Passed away on Sept. 2, 2010. Born on Sept. 11, 1960 in Hoboken NJ., he was the son of late Raymond J. Weinmann. He is survived by his life partner of 21 years, Richard Burns, his mother, Yolanda V. Weinmann, his brothers, Raymond J. Weinmann and wife Corrine, Robert Weinmann and wife Jean, John P. Weinmann, a sister Karen Weinmann, an uncle Robert Weinmann and wife Ferne. He joined the Air Force in 1980 and served his country with distinction. He received numerous letters of appreciation and was nominated for Airman of the Quarter. He was promoted to Sergeant in 1985, and retired in 1986. Following his service in the military, he held highly regarded corporate positions; VP Wells Fargo, and director positions at Mechanics Institute Library and YMCA. He was working towards his BA in management and real estate license. He was also a passionate songwriter and composer. Although successful in the corporate environment, Michael followed his passion and joined Virgin Airlines in 2007 to travel and meet people. He was fast to make friends and once you were a true friend, you were a friend for life. He had a special place in his heart for each and every one of his friends, and he truly cherished them. Michael was full of stories, stories that touched his heart and he always spoke from his heart. Funeral services were held in Berlin, MD on Sept. 10, 2010. A celebration of his life will be held at his partner's house on Sat. Sept. 25, 2010. Donations in his memory can be made to: Best Friends Animal Society, www.bestfriends.org/donate/ give.cfm.

Mike was a special brother. He was always interested in the arts and music. In a lifetime, you see your family more when you are young and not as much as you would like when you get older and move away. I am glad I always told him I loved him whenever he called or we saw each other. I will miss him forever . Loving brother, Ray
