Dear Cunnie Family,
I am so glad I met Pat this summer, even if it was for too short a time.
I will always remember him doing flips off the lake dock over and over, until he got them right, and how he'd read huge lit books on the bench by the guard tower and then go float around the lake for hours afterward. I loved our in-depth Harry Potter conversations and how he founded the Triple Nipple Club with another friend on talent show night. He had a hat that looked like Doby's tea cozy, which he'd wear sometimes when he checked people into the dining hall and it always made me smile, and it was beyond clear he loved loved loved his family and the city they call home. I like to think he's up there with the Weasley twin and family, wearing Giants colors and having a great time. They're lucky to meet him, as we all were this summer.
Pat, it is obvious that everyone has great memories of you- We should all be so lucky to leave that behind.

My family's most heartfelt prayers are blanketing you now. I did Riordan shows myself in the mid 80s with Br. Gary Morris, who, when I visited him in Honolulu recently, only had great things to say about Patrick, his spirit and his great talents. I felt I knew him just a small, precious bit and that remains with me. I'm terribly sorry for this sudden loss and am confident that not only is Patrick in God's mercy, but you all are being held very close to His loving heart.

Pat was a wonderful young man. He was a friend of my son's and our family and we loved him so much. A sweet, caring boy and into a young man. He always had a smile on his face and made those around him laugh. As cheerful as anyone could be.
He will truly be missed.

I remember one time I saw Pat in the Student Center at Chaminade. I decided to haze him. I told them that it was a tradition that Riordan grads who went to CUH had to do the Alma Mater. I made him raise his right index finger in the air, and he was about to do it, but my conscience got the best of me and I let him off the hook. The look on his as he was about to do the Alma Mater and surely embarrass himself in front of stangers was priceless.
Pat was a fun-loving kid. Everytime I tried to catch up with him around campus there'd always be people interrupting us saying hi to him. I took a lot of pride in being a Rriordan grad at CUH, and Pat did too. He definitely represented us, Crusaders well. I'm glad that he touched so many people.
God bless you Pat. And if you try to haze me in Heaven by making me do the Alma Mater, I'll definitely deserve it. :)
