Phil Prescott Kenville October 19, 1930 - April 10, 2012 Phil Prescott Kenville of Oakland passed away peacefully in his home on April 10th due to melanoma. He was 81 years old. Phil was born in Oakland. He was an Eagle Scout and graduated from Piedmont High School in 1948. He attended UC Berkeley where he earned his bachelor's degree in Psychology, graduating in 1952. Phil served proudly in the Army, achieving the rank of first lieutenant. After receiving an honorable discharge, he went to work for Equitable Life Assurance Company in San Francisco in its real estate division. He worked his way up to Vice President, and remained with Equitable for over 35 years. Phil had a keen interest in business and finance. He enjoyed the simple things in life: working in his yard, walking in the woods, reading, watching movies and listening to classical music. He was the center of the family: he brought it together, provided sound advice and helped when needed. Phil is survived by his children Brian Kenville, Brad Kenville, Sheri Charboneau, Julie Kenville and Graham Kenville; his grandchildren Evan Kenville, Zara Kenville and Ansel Kenville, and his great-grandson Brennan Kenville.
