My brothers Larry and Charlie and I will always remember your dad as a good man when we were growing up on Valley street in the 1940s-1950s. Every once in awhile, we'd hit him up for an end from a baloney or salami. Phil and I exchanged letters about ten years ago and it was so nice to hear from him! I think he will always be remembered by many folks who strolled into Drewes and were greeted by his great smile.

Phil was the best at Drewes. It was always a pleasure to go into the shop and chat with him. I know that he enjoyed the series. God Bless.
