I first met richard when he was a bartender in the beerness back in 94'then again at Tosca's and again at Tonys.He was a great person full of zest and spirit,very friendly and very likeable- you will surly be missed my friend!!My taughts and prayers go out to his family!! R.I.P.

I just heard of his death. Richard was not only a great bartender but a great person. He will be missed terribly! I love you Richard!!! I am so happy that I was a part of your life. You are amazing and I will NEVER forget you!!!!!!!!!

All I know is that God's hammered right now on some of the finest cocktails ever known to Man! Richard wouldn't have it any other way. Will miss you, buddy. Also, I'd like one of your Negroni's and a Fernet waiting for me upon my arrival, please ...

Richie was a wonderful person and bartender. For many years, he made me the best cocktails I've ever had. He was a craftsman behind the bar, an alchemist of alcohol. In addition to his mastery of the mixer, Richie was a genuinely warm, friendly, kind person. I was shocked to hear about his loss, and my warmest sympathies go out to his friends and family.

Condolences to all family and friends of Richie. I was absolutely shocked to read this. Richie was a helluva great bartender AND a beautiful human being. Friendly, artistic and funny, he never forgot you -- even if you stopped in infrequently (at Tosca) like I do. Saw him a few months back and his new spot, Tony's, and he was doing great, very happy. Rest in peace, brother -- you'll be missed behind the plank and everywhere else you are know.
