Savannah Kaitlin Dawkins 26, left this life all too prematurely in an automobile accident that also claimed the life of her beloved mother, Nika Dawkins St. Claire, 62, on Saturday, July 21st in Flagstaff, Arizona. An Alumna of Berkeley High School, and a Journalism graduate of California State University at Northridge, she had taken education classes in San Francisco the past two semesters to prepare for and had applied for a post overseas, teaching English in Korea. She had traveled there last year with two young friends who shared her passion for Korean music and culture. She was also an aficionado of films, chocolate, pasta, and deeply loved animals. A young woman of deep intelligence, astute observations, curiosity and humor, she will be sorely missed-by her devoted father, Bill Dawkins of Oakland, her dear brother, Miles Dawkins of Modesto, and his three young daughters. Her passing also will be deeply mourned by her cousins, her uncle, and her three loving aunts and by all who knew this sweet and radiant soul.
