Signe Barrar Obituary

Signe Tragoutsis Barrar Feb. 27 1957-Oct. 9, 2010 Peacefully at home in Gualala, with her husband Jay and son Lorenzo at her side. Signe was born in San Mateo, Calif. to Xenophon and Marilyn Tragoutsis. She went to San Mateo High and later graduated from UC San Diego. Signe was impossible to get off the dance floor, loved to sew and always lived within sight or a stones throw of the ocean. A health fanatic, it seems impossible that she could depart at such a young age. Her beauty, optimism, love and vitality will be missed. Signe leaves behind her husband Jay, son Lorenzo, mother Marilyn, father Xenophon and his wife Carlene, brother Matthew and his wife Cyndi, uncles and aunts Mark and Kaity Tragoutsis and Michael and Mary Tragoutsis , cousins John, Barbara, Steven and their families, God-daughter Madeline, nephew Jack, sister-in-law Shelly and many other loving family members and friends. A private gathering of Signe's family and friends will be held at a later date to celebrate her life. Remberences can be sent to the American Cancer Society.
