Stephen Gale Myers Jan. 4, 1949 - July 2, 2012 Steve was born in Seattle, Washington on January 4, 1949 to Kenneth and Lenore Myers. He moved to Westlake, California at age 7. Steve met Mayra Miller at a party in Daly City in 1965, the love of his life. Steve began his Machinist apprenticeship at Stryco Mfg. in 1967. He finished his 42 year machinist career at the San Francisco Chronicle Newspaper. He was a member of BAEM and Machinist Local Union 1414. Steve moved with his wife and two daughters to Concord, CA in 1977. Steve was dedicated to family, friends and neighbors; always helping others and touching lives. He was gentle, sincere and kind. Steve had a great sense of humor and enjoyed his go-karts and taking family & friends to the track. He also enjoyed building miniature engines, camping with family and friends, mountain biking and his wife's great cooking. Steve loved to read books. His favorite subjects to read were space & science, history of war, motor sports and aviation. Steve is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Mayra Myers; daughter Lisa Dawson, fiance Heath Thornton; daughter Kristi Huffaker, son-in-law Mike Huffaker; grandchildren Brittany Dawson, Michael, Michele, Mathew and Max Huffaker; mother-in-law Ruth Guillen; sister and brother-in-law Georgeann and Doug Felix; nephew and wife Brian and Nicole Felix; their children Nathan and Linda and niece Shelby Felix.
