Thomas Joseph Fazio A native of San Francisco, was born Sept. 28, 1981, the middle child of former San Francisco prosecutor Bill Fazio, and his wife, the late Lepeti Tuitele Fazio. Tom attended St. Cecilia Elementary School, and went on to graduate from Lowell High School in 1999. He was active in sports and captain of Lowell's football team and honored as an "All City Linebacker." After attending City College of San Francisco, Tom earned his degree in Business Administration from the University of California, Riverside. Tom first met his beautiful wife Victoria in 1999. In 2008, they were married in a breathtaking outdoor ceremony in Yosemite National Park. Tom was the latest in a line of family members to embrace law enforcement. In 2006 he achieved a lifetime dream of becoming a police officer and proudly served the City of Fremont. In 2009, Tom was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer. Tom battled his illness while continuing to work as an outstanding Fremont Police Officer. In 2010, Tom was honored as Fremont Police Department's "Officer of the Year." His courage and fighting spirit motivated others to better themselves. Tom had a wide range of interests and talents. He took pleasure in riding his Ural with his son Ares in the sidecar, riding his Ducati superbike, and working on and cruising around in his cherished DeLorean. A kid at heart and a true family man, Tom loved spending time at Disneyland with Ares and Victoria. Tom took nothing for granted and appreciated his life in its entirety. Tom had strength of character, dry wit, and devotion and loyalty to his family, friends, and profession. He can never be replaced. Tom Fazio is survived by his wife Victoria, son Ares, his father Bill, sister Tarita Fazio-Geniella, and sister Tatiana Fazio. His mother, Peti Tuitele-Fazio and brother Antony Fazio predeceased him.
