Walter Edward Alexander, Jr. born May 18, 1941 in Chillicothe, Ohio; passed away in Pacifica, CA on February 16, 2013, at the age of 71. Husband of Henrietta Alexander; Father of Margarita and Edward Alexander; Grand-father of Aaron, Anaya, Alexis, and Amanda.
Walter was the first Black Sports Director in the Bay Area. He worked as a Sportscaster for KRON 4 NBC San Francisco from 1971-1974, ABC 7 Los Angeles from 1975-1979, and KGTV 10 ABC San Diego from 1981-1983.
A Memorial service celebrating Walter's life will be held on Wednesday, February 27, 2013, 11AM at DUGGAN'S SERRA MORTUARY, 500 Westlake Ave, Daly City.
