WILLIAM ANGELO GAVIN

Resident of Pompeii, Michigan and Monte Sereno, California

May 31, 1976-Feb 22, 2013

Our beloved Billy was taken from us suddenly in a solo car accident during a snow storm in Michigan at the young age of 36. He was blessed with a heart of gold, an extraordinary compassion for animals and an eternal grin.

He was born in San Jose, graduated from Evergreen Elementary School. Moving to Monte Sereno, he graduated from Rolling Hills Middle School and Westmont High School. At Westmont, he excelled at wrestling in his 152 lb. weight class. Billy attended SJSU, majoring in Criminal Justice.

He is survived by his heartbroken parents Claire M. Campodonico and William H. Gavin as well as his stepfather Keith W. Paulson and stepmother Theresa A. Gavin. Billy was a devoted brother to his sister Angela Gavin Majic (husband Tomislav), sister Elizabeth R. Gavin and brother Brett A. Gavin. In addition, he will be forever missed by his stepbrothers Derek and Doug Paulson and stepsister Erin Morrison.

Billy's cousins, all close in age, in his mother's family: Cris, Rob, Mike, Aimee, Joe, Mark, Tamra, Matt and Blake grieve for him. He leaves his Uncles and Aunts Robert and Suzanne Campodonico of Menlo Park and Mike and Denise Gavin Welsh of Los Altos and their sons Jack and Rob. He also leaves behind his uncle Ronnie Gavin of Saratoga.

Memorial services will be held Saturday March 2nd at 11 am at Darling Fisher Chapel of The Hills, 615 North Santa Cruz Avenue in Los Gatos. Private family burial to follow immediately at Los Gatos Memorial Park. All others welcome to proceed to a reception at Saratoga Country Club 21990 Prospect Road, Saratoga.

Donations in Billy's memory may be made to the Humane Society Silicon Valley, 901 Ames Avenue Milpitas CA 95035
