William 'Bill' Thornton Trampleasure passed away peacefully at home on October 28th, 2012. Poet, postal person, & proud native Berkeleyan, he enjoyed his family & friends until the end.
He is predeceased by his two brothers, Calvin and Dave. Bill is survived by his loving wife Mary Lee Trampleasure, two sons Calvin and Lee (Katie Tremper), daughter Grace Trampleasure Munoz, granddaughters Kai, Marissa, and Ada, and great-granddaughter Bijou.
A retired Berkeley letter carrier of thirty years, Bill was also a teacher, minister, welfare worker, and man of peace. He became an "ambassador" of the Berkeley Daily Planet during his retirement years, and continued to enjoy his local community on walks around town. He was a staunch supporter of the United Nations. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, Dec. 2nd at 1:30 p.m. at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Berkeley, 1 Lawson Road, Kensington CA.
