91, passed away on October 25, 2012 surrounded by his family. He was preceded in death by his wife, Angelina Aquila. Born in Weed, CA on November 28, 1920 to Maria Luisa and Vincenzo Aquila. John served his country during World War II and was active in local service groups and local politics throughout his life. He owned the Roxy Theatre in St. Helena. John will be remembered for his integrity and commitment to public service. He was loved by his family and respected by all who knew him. John is survived by daughter, Marilyn Doss (Jack), son, John Jr. (Denise), grandchildren Lyndie and Lee Aquila (Carnie), and many nieces and nephews. A celebration of life is Monday, November 5th at noon in The Native Sons Hall, 1313 Spring Street, St. Helena, CA. Donations may be made to Petaluma Hospice or Hanna Boys Center, Sonoma, CA.
