Obituary Condolences

Bettine Wilson Booth

Born Mar. 15, 1917 in Folkstone, England, died Feb. 18, 2013 due to complications after an 18 year struggle with Alzheimer's disease. She was predeceased by her husband of 40 years Orville N. Booth and husband of 12 years John A. Christen. Bettine is survived by her son James Ronald Booth of Larkspur, CO, and daughter Sharon Booth Hoard of Belmont, CA; grandson Colin (Amy) Booth; granddaughter Katie (Randy) Zach; grandson James (Jessica) Booth; great grandchildren Zoe and Olivia; Noah and Kelly; Ben, Ava and Shane.


Betty and Orv were very involved in the St. Francis Hospital community where Orv was administrator from 1943 to 1977. Betty was an active member of St. Francis Hospital Auxiliary working in the Attic Shop for 37 years. She was one of the early members of the Hillsborough Garden Club. She and Orv enjoyed entertaining and loved the San Francisco Giants and playing bridge. Together, with five other couples, they formed the "Baseball/Bridge Group" spanning 45 years. Betty was an avid reader, loved to swim and always had a dog by her side.


The Booth family would like to thank the staff at Silverado Belmont Hills for the incredible care and support given over Betty's 11 year residency.


As per Betty's wishes, no services will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Francis Foundation, 900 Hyde Street, Ste. 1208, San Francisco, CA 94109 or . of N. California and Nevada, 1060 LaAvenida, Mountain View, CA 94043.
