In San Francisco December 25, 1922 - May 29, 2013
Loving wife of the late Victor Reiter Jr, she is survived by her brother Charles F. Wagner, her children Victoria (James) Cronander, Charles (Karen) Reiter, Virginia (Robert) Scudder, as well as 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Carla was a graduate of Lowell High School and UC Berkeley. She had great pride in her family's San Francisco heritage. As a young woman, she participated in the Alpine Club and Mountain Play. She worked as a manager for McClellan Orchid Growers during WWII. Married in 1947, she joined Victor in his nursery business. Both were very active in California Horticultural Society and were also supporters of Pacific Horticulture, the Rock Garden Society, the Fuchsia Society, and many other horticultural groups. Their home and gardens were always open and welcoming to visitors from around the world. Her smile and bright eyes will be missed.

Dear Vickie, Charlie, and Ginger,
I am very sorry for your loss. Your mom was a wonderful, caring person who taught us to sew while we were in Camp Fire Girls. May she rest in peace and may you be comforted by your memories of the many ways she showed her love for you.
