Lynne Charles Ulm, Jr.

Dec. 3, 1930 – Mar. 12, 2014


Lynne, a San Francisco native, passed away peacefully at the age of 83 on March 12, 2014.  Devoted husband to Katherine for 57 years, loving father to Brad and Tracy and grandfather to Robert, Eilisia and Bryce.


Lynne graduated from Lowell High School and San Francisco City College where he developed a love for writing and Public Relations. Lynne and Katherine raised their children in San Francisco prior to moving to Daly City 20 years ago. Lynne was active with Tracy's Irish dancing and Brad's S.F. PAL football  Mates and Mariners teams.  To this day, he was a sports booster for Lowell High School.


Lynne's career started as Journalist for the Call Bulletin Newspaper in San Francisco.  For more than 35 years, he was active in the Press Club of San Francisco.  Lynne's career at  Pacific Bell spanned 25 years in the Public Relations department.


Following retirement in 1985, Lynne became a good friend of Bill W., an active volunteer at St. Francis Memorial Hospital and an active Telephone Pioneer.  In addition, Lynne assisted his wife, Katherine, in various volunteer projects including, Broadmoor Presbyterian Church, the Richmond district YMCA, RSVP and the Park Presidio's Lions Club. 


A memorial service will be held at Broadmoor Presbyterian Church on Saturday,April 5th at 10:30 am.  In lieu of flowers, donations are requested for Broadmoor Presbyterian Church (377 87th St., Daly City, CA 94015) or the Lowell High School Alumni Association (1101 Eucalyptus Dr, San Francisco, CA 94132).
