John Sedgwick Noyes Of Berkeley, passed swift and peaceful, in the company of his children, June 1, 2010, due to complications from a short illness. He was 67. Johnny Noyes was born of Dorris into the capable hands of Alta Bates, R.N., on April 19th, 1943, and was the eldest of four children delivered to the Chime, and Master of the Carralon, John Milton Noyes. Lovingly survived by three children, John Noyes Jr, Victor Noyes and Lenore Cavanaugh; and three grandchildren, Brandon Noyes, and twins Sean and Michael Cavanaugh; and by his two sisters, Catherine Benko and Barbara Braley, John now rests with his parents and with his dear brother, Jimmy. John retired a proud and dedicated, card-carrying Union Machinist. But it is for his deep and infectious love for Ragtime, Boogie-Woogie, Jug-Band Music - generally, for all that Rolls and Rocks - and for his raw talent on the keys to entertain, John - Dad - will always be with us. We love you Dad. Peace. Please give charitably in his memory to the causes of peace and justice in lieu of gifts or flowers. For Memorial information contact Lenore at 775-267-9605.
